Each project maintains aspects that are collaborative, and aspects that are non-collaborative. An example of a Collaborative aspect is the sharing of a central Project Drawing Register on the ProjectCentre Web Server. An example of a non-collaborative aspect is the maintenance by each company of their individual job or project accounting systems. This is a system that a user does not want other project members to access. Information that is used collaboratively through ProjectCentre may then be used to update information within the non-collaborative environment. For example, ProjectCentre may be used as the approved method of submitting Variation Requests. A User may submit a Variation Request to the Project Manager via ProjectCentre. The Request will be negotiated between the parties and a Variation amount will be Approved. There is a duplication of data entry when each party updates their project accounts system with the Proposed Variation Request and then the Approved Variation. ProjectCentre has developed an Application called pC2me that allows the required data to be exported from ProjectCentre to be delivered for automatic importation into the customers Accounts system. Each external system will generally include a database import feature. ProjectCentre will work with the customer to provide seamless integration between ProjectCentre and the required database via the pC2me application.
